BlackBerry PlayBook for Pre-order from Smart

Wireless services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) is readying its freshest pick of gadget goodies as it puts the BlackBerry PlayBook up for pre-order. Designed by Canada-based smartphone company Research In Motion (RIM), the PlayBook is touted to be the first “professional-grade” tablet given its impressive range of features and capabilities.
Packed and compact

The PlayBook packs a powerful 1GHz dual core processor and 1GB of RAM inside a thin 0.4-inchchassis. It runs on the new BlackBerry Tablet OS which makes it capable of PC-like multitasking all without compromising speed and reliability.

Should you want to add more software, mobile applications are readily available from RIM’s official online store, the BlackBerry App World. Choose from thousands of programs which can instantly turn your tablet into a bonafide productivity tool.

Internet in a Flash
The Web is a multimedia environment and one of the things that makes it so is Adobe’s Flash technology. Flash support comes standard in the PlayBook thus assuring you that you’ll get the same rich Internet experience on a tablet device like you would on a notebook or a desktop.

What’s more, the PlayBook comes with a front-facing camera which can be used for video-chatting with other PlayBook users via WiFi for free. You can also view your email, BlackBerry MessengerTM messages, calendar, and address book from your BlackBerry smartphone with the help of BlackBerry BridgeTM.

Available today
The BlackBerry Playbook is available for pre-order from August 8 until August 17, 2011 from Smart’s official website, www.smart.com.ph/bbplaybook. Get it for free with a BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9105 at Plan 3000 or with a BlackBerry Torch 9800 at Plan 4000.
