Unconventional Ways of Becoming Beautiful

Let's take a breather from the usual ways of making ourselves beautiful.
Makeup techniques and drastic changes through cosmetic surgery will have to take a back seat for now. We will be taking the other route to beauty, the road less traveled because it takes more patience and perseverance to be able to get there- improving your inner self. An adorable pancreas sounds good but this is deeper than that. A beautiful you on the inside proves to be more lasting and and inspiring than a perfect face with a draining character.

Not everyone is lucky to have Demi Moore's pixie face nor can we all be as stunning as Angelina Jolie or Megan Fox. Have you noticed some women who seemingly look ordinary yet draw attention and command strong presence above others? No, I'm not referring to attention-seeking wannabes, but the women emanating with charms, positive aura, good vibes or whatever you may call it. They make you wonder what's in them that draws people towards them- interesting men included.

Sandra Bullock may not be the stereotypical standard of beauty but is considered to be one of the world's most beautiful people. She's reported to be one of the nicest Hollywood actresses, gaining more pretty points for her. Locally, Toni Gonzaga or Sarah Geronimo may not have the classic angelic face of Marian Rivera but they can hold their own amidst the sea of beautiful celebrities as proven by their various TV shows and endorsements. Toni's wit and Sarah's humility are endearing qualities that make them shine.

Here are unconventional tips on achieving a drop dead gorgeous self, not necessarily in order.

  • Pray. Visualize God having a parlor for anyone needing a transformation. He can grant your wish of wanting to be beautiful. He is more powerful than the mythical genie in making your wishes come to life. Spiritual people are also at more peace with themselves. Inner tranquility translates to a more beautiful outlook in life.

  • Study. Read and grasp every new knowledge you come across with. An empty brain is unattractive. Intelligence is sexy. Indulge in a hobby or an endeavor you're passionate about and excel in it.

  • Keep a good posture. Not only does it lessen the muscular pains at your back but gives the impression of self-confidence, as well. A bad posture sends the message that you're sorry for your existence. Not pretty.

  • Be kind to yourself and others. Personal issues can pull you down and the people around you. Let go of grudges. Forgive yourself for the wrong decisions you made in the past. Move on and start over. Don't bitch around as if the world owes you anything. Kindness draws more people, blessings and luck to you.

  • Live a life of gratitude. Appreciate what you have and work on making the most of what you have. Stop comparing yourself with others and be grateful for the blessings you receive. Say thank you for the little deeds done for you and notice how it makes a difference in someone's life.

  • Have a good sense of humor. Laugh at your own mistakes. Watch more funny movies. Mr. Bean shows you how laughter is still the best medicine. It reduces pain, builds immunity, improves blood circulation and blood sugar levels. Depressive personalities are energy thieves. Who would want to be around them?

  • Exercise. Hit the gym or do a regular routine at home. Like laughter, exercise promotes well-being by improving blood flow to your organs and by releasing endorphins. Happy people brightens up the atmosphere.

  • Eat healthy. Load up on vegetables and fruits . Unhealthy diet can lead to various diseases that could have been avoided. Trust me, I should know. Drink more water and cut off on sodas. The body is 70% made of water, let it stay that way. Your cells need proper nourishment and hydration for them to function well, giving you a glowing look.

  • Ditch the bad habits. Lack of sleep can give you racoon eyes. Smoking is never glamorous. How can you call it that when it causes you dry skin, clogged arteries and frequent coughs, not to mention lung cancer? Alcohol drinking hurts your liver, the organ responsible for detoxifying harmful substances taken in. Toxins inside your body could kill you sooner or later. You only have one body. Don't abuse it.

  • Be hygiene-conscious. Take daily baths, brush your teeth and wear clean clothes. Even if you are the most beautiful woman on earth, you can't claim the title if you stink.

  • Explore the power of crystals. There are several of them, each has its own properties. Choose stones that can give you a positive aura and ditch negative vibes. It's a new age idea that weirds out a lot of people, but it works.

  • Develop a positive attitude. See the brighter side of things even in the most difficult circumstances. When life throws lemons at you, make lemonades. If you're enterprising enough, sell the lemonades. Life will not always go your way but you can make the best out of a bad situation. Let the law of attraction work for you. If you want it enough, the universe will conspire to let you achieve it. Believe you can be beautiful.

Plain Jane or born gorgeous, inner beauty makes the difference. If you don't think you're beautiful, then strive to be. Start by taking these steps on your road to true beauty. Watch your own metamorphosis and when you get there, encourage other women to be beautiful as well.

  1. I think that this is a very influential blog. It is extremely important to develop inner beauty in order to be happy with yourself! I think too many young girls are trying to contend with this ideal standard without developing their inner beauty.
